When a Phriend (I wouldn’t mention names) posted a photo, on her facebook page, of lightly fried apples dipped in pancake batter and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar, I knew, with all the apples I have from my recent picking, I wanted to try these. They have become my newest obsession, breakfast, lunch and dinner ~ they are yummy anytime of the day!
* I really need to close down my aperture when taking marco shots.

After seeing several people photograph bubbly fruit, Phriend (you can see her awesome shots here ) and I knew we wanted to try our hand at it. We waited for a rainy day, as to not waste any day light, day time outside photos. We gathered our poster board, the flat vase, the desk lamp, seltzer water, salt and an assortment of fruits. We moved the bench over to the slider doors for the best natural light, placed our cameras on tripods and let the fun begin.

Strawberries are one my favorite things about summer. I put them on my Cheerios, I put them in my salad, I mix them with other fruit and I eat them right off the vine. And of course, I eat them covered in chocolate. I can’t get enough of them.
It was difficult to control my excitement when I saw them sitting in produce section of the grocery store yesterday and better yet, they were on sale. Can’t hate that! Ahh, summer can’t be far behind.

I like eating fruit and always enjoy a good orange. The key word being good. I find joy in while splitting the rind, the sweet juices of the delicious, brightly colored, fruit, spray out covering my hands. My mouth starts watering in anticipation. It is worth the chore of uncovering my sweet treat. I will most likely be enjoying it with a piping hot cuppa of Earl Grey tea.
However, there is nothing more disappointing, then breaking the rind and not a drop of juice sprays. And after spending several minutes and burning several calories peeling back the skin only to find dried up pulp covered in a thick transparent layer of chewy stuff.
This is why, when reaching out for my next snack, I am always happy to choose a Hershey bar. It is consistently the same sweet, smooth, chocolate, delight. I never have to guess what I will find under the brown wrapper, I am never left disappointed and can still enjoy it with my Earl Grey.
