New Jersey, aka the Garden State, offers no shortage of fruit and vegetable “U Pick” farms. May starts off the harvest parade with strawberries being ready for the picking around Memorial day. July offer fresh peaches off the trees and blueberries and raspberries can be picked by the hand full off of the bushes. August is prime time for many vegetable. Tomatoes are ripe and at the ready for salads and sauces. The harvest continues through Autumn with all the making for a Thanksgiving feast; corn, pumpkins, and apples, along with cranberries for the sauce, to go with the turkey, and grapes for a nice glass of Almond berry wine.

In hopes of taking a winning photograph for a winery's monthly photo contest, Phriend and I spent a little over 3 hours setting up and clicking. We walked among the vineyard, rearranged their wine bottle displays, and played with corks. We waited for the sun to hit the window at the best angle to create a silhouette and we strung Christmas lights to enable us to get some awesome custom bokeh. Between the two of us, we have won the last four consecutive months. We're trying to “click it up a notch" as the pressure is on to make it 5. (that's the vineyard reflecting in the glass)

Since under taking Project 365, I find my eyes are wide open, continuously
scanning for a new and different photo. I found there is much more beauty in the winter then I ever imagined.
