For many years, I have had the pleasure of living along the shoreline of the Atlantic Ocean. This last summer brought several new sights. On more than one occassion I had the pleasure of watching schools of dolphin swimming, feeding, and playing in the waves. During one of my sunrise walks, I sadly came across a stringray which the waves had brought ashore during the dark of night, and last week I witnessed a dozen or so starfish in jetty pools. I am not sure what a group of starfish is called. Is it a galaxy?

I love the lightening on this photo. Very nice.
Good capture. I have to go to an aquarium or sealife centre to see creatures like these.
Star fish always intrigue me. Love this overall shot. Great composition.
Yes, this is a beautiful shot. Wonderful color.
I miss living on the coast of British Columbia. With all the small islands and then Vancouver Island between us and the open ocean, we never saw dolphins or whales, but I know they can be seen amongst the Gulf Islands on the Canadian side and the San Juan Islands on the American side.
I visited the Atlantic coast of Canada this year for the first time, and it was beautiful.

that is so awesome! How cool to see that.
A galaxy sounds like a great name to me, lol. I would love to see many dolphins! To be that close to the beach, to explore so much. :)
