Similar birds in the pond out back of my house, called anhinga or "snake birds" - when they swim, they sometimes submerge their whole body with just their snake-like neck and head sticking above the water as they paddle along.Tink *~*~*My Mobile Adventures *~*~*

I see them here too. They sit in a large dead tree with their wings spread out to dry.
