I learned ~ I was able to talk a friend into going to the beach with me today. With temperatures in the single digits and a photo shot in mind, I learned it is sometimes just necessary to shot in auto mode.

I posted two photos this week, first the photo I had in mind. However, just by looking at it one can not tell how bitterly cold it was standing in the sand. The second photo proof it was a necessity to shot in auto.

Please critique, any and all comments are always welcome.

Go to the beach. Take the photo any way you can. Beautiful!

I like the idea of the first shot but I adore the second. The simplicity of the ice is wonderful. I have honestly never seen ice like that!

I really like the ornament idea in the first pic. I might have to try that. And I can't believe how icy it is in the second pic!

What a great friend you have! I love that first one. The color of that ornament really pops! The second picture makes my feet cold :O) I can't believe that you went out in that weather to the beach of all places!! Great job this week!!

Were you afraid I was going to sell you out about the auto mode? LOL.
Still love the second photo, the blurred ice in the front gives it awesome depth of field!

Yes, I thought it was going to be my payback for dragging you out in subfreezing temps!
