Camera Critters # 9:

Another stop on our granddaughter’s tour of Jersey was a local zoo. Mr. Peacock was proudly strutting around showing off his handsome tail feathers which were in full fan. Than we caught sight of an albino peacock. I had never seen one; even the “eyes” on his tail feathers were white. It was so unusual to see this normally brightly colored bird void of all color. He was beautiful, almost angelic.

It is beautiful. I would have never imagined. I think it's funny how beautiful a peacock can be and how horrible they sound!

I love peacocks, and I have seen the albino kind before, so unique! My boys love the story about how peacocks for their "eye" feathers in Greek mythology.

We don't have the zoos around here so I never have the luxury of seeing the peacocks or the peahens.... very nice photos.

I love Peacock pictures and you certainly famed it well. An albino Peacock seems like an oxymoron. No color on a beautiful bird.

Such majestic looking birds :) But they do sound awful with their squawking!

Lucky you! :0)

Altho the colors are so pretty on the normal looking peacocks there is something about the albino ones.

Amazing shot! I only just learned there was such a thing as an albino peacock a week or so ago when someone else posted a few photos they had taken. Thanks for sharing! ;--)

Thats very beautiful - and angelic is the proper term! I saw one at Treknature, which was half and half - which added greatly to the effect and looked totally stunning!
