As my neighbor was preparing to remove a tree, she noticed a Robin’s nest. She halted the operation and called me over. Indeed there were two little hatchlings. At this point they weight less than a quarter and instinctually know to remain very quite while mama is away from the nest. In about two weeks they will take their maiden flight and my neighbor can continue with her uprooting of the tree they now call home.

Aaaaawwwww! I so want to come across a nest with eggs or hatchlings in it! Our birds tend to build their nests up too high for me to see. :)

Awww...how sweet. We have 5 wren eggs in a nest on our porch. I'm waiting ever so impatiently. ;)
Awww! Sweet babies! I don't know if you remeber but I posted the picture of the nest on my front door. Still no eggs but we do see 2 birds flying in and out.
Wow they are so fresh they don't really even have feathers yet. I hope you can get another shot of them as they grow.
