With our busy work schedules, the only available time to visit the ocean is early morning. We’ve been waking at 5:30 a.m., arriving in time to catch the last grimaces of the sunrise. There is little oceanfront activity at this hour. Other than the surf fishers we, generally, have the beach to ourselves. As we sit and have our fruit and bagels we enjoy watching the shrimp boats coming home after an evening out at sea.

That is so awesome! What a way to start each day!
Mercedes ~ we have really been enjoying it, so much so that we don't mind the 5:30 wake up call.
Agreed - nothing beats the ocean in the early morning hours. ( Maybe the ocean at sunset ;) )
Cheers, Klaus
I'm not sure if I could be up at 5:30. But maybe living by the beach would make me... :o)
Klaus ~ yes my two favorite times on the beach are early morning and late afternoon. The only thing that can add to the pleasure is if it's low tide.
Ivanhoe ~ I am generally not a fan of a 5:30 wake up call but anytime the beach is involved, I'm up and ready!
I wished I lived that close to the beach. I'd be there everyday there wasn't rain!
