Legal & illegal

Look what Mercedes had for me! Thank you, I believe it is legal and highly recommended to pass this kind of blogger award around. I pass it to everyone on my blogroll, cause I can honestly say, if you weren't kind, I would not have put you over there in the list. So go ahead, grab the award (run like the wind) and post it as proudly as I am.

It is a different story for the illegal off season shell game.

Lucky Friday the 13th:

Last August B’s radio station asked each of “on-air personalities” to create a blog. Their hope was to enable the listeners of the radio station to get to know the jocks, to give them a small insight into their off-air lives. B decided to blog about the adventures with our Seeing Eye puppy LW. However, we soon found I was taking the photos, checking for comments and encouraging B to post. I had become addicted. After I purchased a new camera and started taking 100s of photos I decide to start this blog. Initial, as I am not very good with words, it was a photoblog only. This was a place to park my photos in the hopes of our distance families and friends stopping by to see what B and I had been up to.

Never did I expect to meet so many wonderful people; those whom I know, only, through their pictures and words which are posted on their own little place in cyberspace. I am truly amazed at the incredible amount of talent each of you posses. I have, also, found the amount of encouragement amongst the individual blogger heartwarming. There are so many kind and thoughtful comments left, not only on my blog but on the blogs which I frequent.

I have learned about photography from many of you, I have had a look into the lives of people living with limited abilities, I have read about the sadness and the celebrations you have all shared. It is because of you all that I have continued to march forward with this blog. I look forward to each morning when I make a cuppa tea and page through my daily stops. It is truly a pleasure to have met each of you if only through the magic of the internet.

Recently, I received several awards. I am apologetic for not posting them sooner. I am flattered that you have awarded them to me.

From
Mercedes I received:

And from Debbie over at Three Weddings, I was given these wonderful awards:

I would like to pass them to all of my daily stops. You’re listed on the right. Please take your award with the knowledge that you have made my day a bit brighter. There is only one request. If you choose to display the Share the Love award please link it back to Memoirs of a Mommy. It’s a very special award that she created in honor of the donor who saved (her son) Noah’s Life. Noah received a heart transplant, and she hopes that by passing this award around the blogosphere everyone can help raise awareness of the need for Organ Donation. And again, thank you all.

Award:

Look what Stacey at A Focus in the Wild had waiting for me this morning.

I really wasn’t expecting to receive an award to today. I am not prepared for the occasion, which is evidenced by the fact that I sit here in my jammies with sleep still in my eyes and mind. And not to mention I do not have a prepared acceptance speech. But let me thank, once again, my Mom and Dad (who don’t even know I have this blog) and B, my dear partner, for all his editorial advising. I’ll have to clean up my shelf (sidebar) and make room to proudly display this new award. ~ Thank you.

I am passing this award on to these 5 of my favorites:

L^2 at A Dog's Eye View
Lisa at
Lisa's Chaos
Janet at
Fond of Snape
Jenny at
Tame the Wild Beastie
Debbie at
Three Weddings

Award Tuesday:

I am flattered and honored that the VERY talented photographer Lisa would think enough of my photos and blog to bestow this award of distinction on me. Thank you, it means more to me than you will ever know.

And because it is always fun to pass the award on to someone deserving of it, I pass it on to
Out with Ari. Kathryn's posts are always fun and educational. She and her dog Ari take a scientific look at the world. I envy the students who have had the opportunity to take her classes. I have made "Out with Ari" one of my daily stops, I hope you will too.

I, also, wish to pass it to Stacey over at
A Focus in the Wild. Stacey is an amazing photographer whos main subjects are of wildlife and nature. Stacey is a "licensed falconer for the past 8 years, as well as volunteering at sub-permittee at a local bird rescue center, where I have helped to rehabilitate orphaned and wounded raptors." Way to go ~ Stacey

oh and BTW, it look exactly like the cap and gown I will be wearing in 2 weeks!

Awards:

Recently, I was the recipient of two awards. L^2, "Dog's Eye View", awarded me with the "You Make My Day" and Emily, "Life with the Dogs", give me the "Thinking Blogger". Emily said, "Trish's photos always tell a story and definitely make you think!" I am honored and flattered. Thank you both.

As a recipient of these wonderful awards I am granted the privilege of passing them along to five other people. The difficultly here is, I have far more than 5 people to whom I can pass these along. Each of the blogs which I visit, often on a daily basis, bring me great joy. It is truly amazing the number of wonderful photos taken and talent of which “average” people can write.

I thank and award you all, for each of you “Make my Day” and make me “Think”.
