My Wonderful World Tuesday: 4-21

She was well worth the wait, for when she arrived she was a delight. She brought with her cooling breezes to shelter us from the sun, which had all the warmth of summer. A day like this called for a celebration; a walk on the boardwalk, a seat on the bench with a view of the ocean, an ice cream cone, and the first sunburn of the season.

Camera Critters: 4-18

Camera CrittersWe had lots of critters this week. They came 2 X 2 until there were 6. Murphy and Willow's cousins came for a visit. We actually had 24 feet of dog! After tiring them all with a 4 mile walk, much running, and playing it was time for a photo shoot. They are the poster "children" for rescued dogs. All, with the exclusion of Willow, were adopted from local shelters.

Just because:

I am not usually much of a whiner, but besides having to pay my taxes (state, federal and property), it is a cold, windy, rainy, miserable “Spring” day here in the Northeast. In the hopes of a little mood change, I called my sister. As they say, to add salt to the wound, she is heading into New York City (one of my favorite places to visit) to a flower show. I am unable to go since I have to work later this evening. All of this is leaving me in the need of a little (big) pick me up. To no avail, I already ate some (ok lots) of the Easter chocolate. Today even that didn’t seem to help. So, in yet another attempt to lift my spirits I post:

My World Tuesday: 4-14

With the arrival of Spring's warmer weather, "our" boardwalk and beaches will soon be crowded with "bennies".
*after several comments perhaps I should define "Bennies" ~ for many years, out of towners only carried $100 bills, with face of Benjamin Franklin. Since none of the locals had change for this large bill, these out of towners became known as Bennies.

My World Tuesday: 4-7

My home backs up to an old pleasant farm. The farm is no longer in operation and the homes, barns, and coupes have been left to fall. It is now 600 acres of natural reserve. One of my favorite places to run the puppies and stretch my legs.
