Camera Critters #11:

Yesterday, this little sparrow flew in to joined us for an early morning beach picnic breakfast. He brought the music!

*at present 20 commenters believe this to be a bird in the snow. It is not! The temperture was well in the 80s the day this was taken. Jersey beaches have very soft, white, fine sand. In fact, it is called "sugar sand".

At first I was like: "What??? Snow??"
but then I saw the error of my ways - it was sand. Nicely done!
Have a good weekend! Cheers, Klaus

That is some white sand-I can see why one would mistake it for snow! So what songs did you hear? hehe!

LOL It doesn't look like snow to me, but then maybe I've just seen enough of your other pictures in the white sand to recognize it. Great shots! :-)

Sugar sand, I like it! You probably could pass it off as snow. I bet he serenaded you beautifully. :)

I must confess I thought it was snow as well and felt sorry for the little bird. It is really enjoying a day at the beach and much happier than we are here in the rain!
