The American Goldfinch is the New Jersey state bird. Funny thing is I don't usually see many of them around. This is only about the third one I have seen this spring and luckly I had my camera in hand.

Funny- we both mentioned the NJ state bird on our blogs today-- except mine was about it being the mosquito...haha.

They are pretty, aren't they? You probably aren't seeing them because they're in my yard everyday. Now that I have my new toy, I might be able to get a decent capture of them. :)
