Our local display of flora is several months away, so I went in search of early springtime color. With camera in hand, I visited the local garden center and found these fine specimens of bromeliad. There are over 3000 species of this tropical plant, but none of them would survive our harsh winter weather, making the greenhouse the perfect home for them.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
It is a holiday village at 100 km. Barcelona, my city.
Have a nice day
Lovely shot of the greenhouse plant.
Gorgeous shot! I love it especially during the gray days of winter.
Oh, yes, that is a gorgeous shot! Love the colors -- particularly this time of the year! Thanks for sharing the beauty and the color! Have a lovely week!

Beautiful bromeliads and I like the shot so much.
You mentioned not having seen the tabocconist figures in Williamsburg. They are in the Abby Aldridge Rockefeller Folk Art Museum which is in Colonial Williamsburg but it's not on the main drag exactly. I had been to Williamsburg before but when I went this fall it was the first time I went to the museum.
Such a pleasant display of colour for a cold winter's evening.
Beautiful, especially this time of year.
That shot is fantastic! I love that shade of pink. :)
