My home backs up to an old pleasant farm. The farm is no longer in operation and the homes, barns, and coupes have been left to fall. It is now 600 acres of natural reserve. One of my favorite places to run the puppies and stretch my legs.

That's a shame that people let that happen. I've seen so many farms & barns to degrade like that on our way through OH to MI last week.
enjoyed the photo and commentary...have a lovely afternoon. hugs to the pups.
Glad to hear that it was kept as a reserve and not turned into another strip mall or something. Looks like you might want to be careful where you explore though. Still a lot of old structures there that could trip you up or hurt you somehow.
Love the photo though... it has a melancholy feeling that's just marvelous.
There are alot of vacant farms around these parts as well, dramatic photo, thanks for sharing.
Have a great week!

It is sad that this is happening in so many places these days. Great photo, very telling! Have a great week!
I like to photograph decrepit buildings. I always wonder who built them and why they were abandoned. What is there story?
This echos my post. We need places like this meadows and fields, for wildlife and dogs to roam free.
My real estate agent would say the building you photographed is a great fixer-upper!
Looks like a great place to let the puppies run.
We're in the middle of a blizzard...I'd love to see the grass again!
Thanks for visiting my blog! Love the puppies.
Nature claims all things eventually. What a neat place to take the pups.
So nice for you to have such a sizeable reserve on your doorstep.
We have 500 acres here but since it is ours, it is also our responsibility to look after it.
A wonderful photo...thank you! And a dramatic tree for skywatch below.....love that you ahve all that space for you and the dogs to stretch out in..pure bliss. I used to love living on the land.
Thanks for visiting My World today. I am enjoying being in NYC temporarily.
Love the photo!
Wonderful photo of your farm land that you and your puppies can enjoy! :)
I do like places like this, where human habitat has grown back to nature instead of a concrete strip.
Usually different plants, insects and animals are returning. The puppies have a great place to play.
That is great that it was kept as a natural reserve. Beautiful shot.
Your so lucky to have this near you for your dogs and the many photo's you could have for this one location. Explore more.
Neat photo. I bet there are tons of potential photos on that farm.
Lovely photo of the countryside. No stress and so much space to run about. Thanks for dropping by my blog. :)
